+Do you take custom orders?
Yes, we take custom orders of all types. We work with skilled Amish craftsmen that have built beautiful pieces just based on pictures.
+What kind of finish do you use?
We use a 3 step Finish on all our Amish-made furniture. All our Amish furniture is finished with Resistovar®. Resistovar®, unlike varnishes, is a catalyzed finish. That means it is harder than most finishes and protects the wood better than the rest. Also, instead of just protecting the top layer of the wood, Resistovar® penetrates the wood giving it deep protection. It is resistant to water, alcohol, heat, and fingernail polish remover.
+Is your furniture really Amish-made?
Yes! All our furniture that we market as Amish-made is genuinely hand-crafted in Amish country in Ohio. We take trips once every 3-5 weeks and pick up furniture ourselves.
+Is all your furniture American-Made?
Yes, all of our furniture is made in North America.
+Can I purchase your products online?
Unfortunately we do not have an online store for purchasing our products. However, if you see something that you would like to purchase on our website, you can call us and place an order over the phone.
+Do you ship across the US?
Yes, we ship anywhere in the Continental U.S.
+How do I clean my indoor furniture?
- To clean fabric, first, vacuum your furniture to remove any dirt and debris. Next, make a mixture of 2 cups of water, 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, and 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Gently blot the dirty areas with a dampened microfiber cloth, do not rub or scrub as this can damage the fibers. Then, wipe off any remaining soap and dry the affected area.
- To clean leather, lightly wipe off any mess or spills that may occur. Do not heavily soak the stain as this may cause more damage to the area. For major spills and stains, it is best to contact a professional leather specialist to clean the leather.
- To clean wood furniture, we use Heirloom Furniture Cleaner and Polish. Use a microfiber cloth and cleaner periodically to keep dust and other debris from accumulating. Polish your wood furniture about once a month to keep it looking brand new.
+How do I clean my outdoor poly furniture?
Use a wet rag with mild soap to clean your poly. You can also use a pressure washer to clean off any build that your furniture may accumulate.
+How well does wood furniture hold up outside?
Different woods hold up differently outside. Teak and Red Cedar are more resistant to the elements than other woods. However, if left untreated, any wood furniture will weather and deteriorate over time. To keep your outdoor wood furniture looking fresh, you should condition it with some sort of wax-based wood protectant.
+When should I refinish my outdoor furniture?
You should refinish your wood outdoor furniture about twice a year depending on how much weathering it gets.
+Will an adjustable mattress base fit these beds?
Adjustable bases will fit into all of our standard sized bed frames.
+How do I clear a water stain on my table?
You can remove water stains from your wood furniture by mixing 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of water to make a paste. Gently rub in a circular motion until the mark is removed. However, we have never had a customer come back to us saying that had a watermark. This is a testament to the finish that our Amish-made furniture has.
+Can I make changes to my custom order?
All custom orders are final upon ordering. However, our sales associates will work with you as long as it takes to get exactly what you want.
+How long does it take to get a custom order?
For custom Amish-made pieces, you can expect a wait time of 10-12 weeks. For non-Amish custom pieces, it will take anywhere from 8-12 weeks for your custom piece to arrive.
+Do you offer financing?
Yes, we use Synchonry financing with 6 and 12 month plans for 0% interest.
+Do you offer any furniture protection plans?
Yes, we offer Guardsman furniture protection plans.
+Will the delivery team be able to remove my old furniture?
While it is ultimately at the discretion of the delivery team to remove old furniture, most of the time it is not a problem to do so.
+What is your return policy?
We only allow returns on stock pieces within three days of the original order. We do not accept returns on custom orders, mattresses and box springs, upholstery, linens, bedding, rugs or on items that were purchased on sale or clearance. Please refer to our Policies and Procedures page for more information.
